The famous independent photo agency Magnum is about to launch its first online photography course: “The Art of Street Photography”.
Since 1947, Magnum photographers have witnessed and documented major events in world history. The agency has represented top photojournalists and documentary photographers since its inception, and the content they provide to global media has always been iconic. Magnum has been running workshops around the world for a long time, but this is the first time the agency has launched an online course and reached more people around the world.
The “Art of Street Photography” course will include 10 video lessons on all aspects of street photography, including topics such as framing, people, discovering alternative approaches and creating images significant during assembly. Lessons will be presented by renowned Magnum photographers, including Martin Parr, Bruce Gilden, Susan Meiselas, Richard Kalvar, Carolyn Drake, Mark Power and Peter van Agtmatel. Throughout the course, they will share their experience and insights from the field.
The actual release date and course fees have not been announced by Magnum, but you can subscribe on the course page for a chance to win a free copy.
